FIT:MATCH Webinar: How Sports Bras Affect the Performance of Athletes

November 17, 2022
Event

On November 16, we had an insightful panel discussion with industry experts on how college athlete performance can directly correlate to the best fitting sports bra for their body shape.

When it comes to functional fit garments - sports bras are arguably #1. At FIT:MATCH, we set out to understand how the fit of a sports bra affects the demographic that need it most - athletes.

Our marketing team conducted a 2-month long experiment with 15 female college athletes of 12 different sports including:

Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Cheer, Dance, Fencing, Field Hockey, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Track & Field, Volleyball, and Swimming.

Athletes participated in both video interviews and performance wear testing of a sports bra that they were matched with after using the FIT:MATCH technology in Friend Mode.

During this webinar, we shared insights that were discovered about the industry, processes for teams and athletes, and the opportunities to improve upon.

FIT:MATCH Head of Marketing, Hillary Littleton moderated a panel discussion with:

Chelsea Hayes - 2012 Track & Field Olympian

Abby Wittstadt - Former Technical Designer of Sports Bras at Under Armour

Deann Koehler - Senior Associate Athletic Trainer at University of Texas, Austin

Taylor Dobles - Soccer Forward at Louisiana State University
